Austin nonprofit meet with Royal Newlyweds at California event for veterans and military families
The Royal Couple took part in a service project building 1,000 comfort kits for military children. The comfort kits were created by The Comfort Crew for
Military Kids, an Austin based nonprofit organization creating resources to support and comfort military children and their families.
Austin, TX, July 11, 2011 — At a service project benefiting military children and a hiring fair for veterans and military spouses, Ronda Englander and Trevor Romain had the privilege to meet and discuss the mission of the Comfort Crew for Military Kids with Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Hosted by Sony Pictures and sponsored by ServiceNation: Mission Serve and Blue Star Families, the Royal Couple built the Comfort Crew’s deployment resource for military children: the With You All the Way! Deployment Kit. The kit, developed in collaboration with the USO, is a set of resources designed to address the special needs of children who have a deployed family member. This service project benefited 1,000 military children.
