May 22, 2010 — The USO and the Trevor Romain Foundation are hosting the Texas Flagship Launch of the With You All the Way! Dealing with Deployment Kit at Fort Bliss, El Paso. The kit features resources designed to address the special needs of children who have a family member deployed with the U.S. Military.

March 30, 2010 — The Trevor Romain Foundation, in collaboration with the USO, will commemorate the launch of special deployment kits designed to support families with children who have a family member deployed with the U.S. Military on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at The United States Navy Memorial in Washington DC.
International Children’s Advocate and Author Celebrates Latest Book Designed to Inspire Caring
March, 23, 2010— Child advocate Trevor Romain unveils his new book about the human spirit and the compassionate people he has met on his journey to bring comfort to children. Romain will read from The Art of Caring at a special book-signing event at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Book People, 603 N. Lamar Boulevard.

Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas — The USO and the Trevor Romain Foundation are hosting the Flagship Launch of the With You All the Way! Dealing with Deployment Kit at Fort Bliss, El Paso. The kit features resources designed to address the special needs of children who have a family member deployed with the U.S. Military.
This event is made possible by the generous support of Sundt Construction, Inc.
Participants: Trevor Romain; Military children enrolled in local Department of Defense Schools.
Details: Themed after a movie premier, families will enter the festivities with a walk down the red carpet, have their pictures taken, and be supplied with special VIP badges for the event. Every child in attendance will receive a deployment kit as a gift from the USO.
Designed to address the special needs of children who have a deployed family member, the kit features the DVD, With You All the Way! Dealing with Deployment–an animated movie that provides children with information and advice during a family member’s pre-deployment, deployment, and reintegration. Trevor Romain, best-selling children’s author and star of the DVD, will introduce the screening of the DVD and have a Q/A session directly after.
The DVD is also a learning tool for civilian children, helping them understand what their friends from the military community go through when a loved one is deployed.

International Children’s Advocate and Author Celebrates Latest Book Designed to Inspire Caring
Author to reveal heart-warming stories about hope, comfort and compassion at March 25 Book Signing event.

Child advocate Trevor Romain unveils his new book about the human spirit and the compassionate people he has met on his journey to bring comfort to children. Romain will read from The Art of Caring at a special book-signing event at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Book People, 603 N. Lamar Boulevard.
The Art of Caring celebrates the story of a young cancer patient who delights in roller-blading through hospitals on only one leg, of a child soldier in Burundi who hands Romain a worn 1890s era coin to buy ice cream “for the children with cancer in the hospital,” and the story of a young girl with a beautiful smile who asked him to “read real loud” so she could hear his new book from heaven.
All proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the Trevor Romain Foundation, a non-profit organization established to instill hope in children and families by creating resources that comfort children facing adversity.

Trevor Romain to Address Boys and Girls Club Conference in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany
Austin , March 11, 2010 — Author, illustrator and child advocate Trevor Romain will work with youth workers and deliver the keynote address at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Europe Impact Conference, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Germany , from March 15th to the 19th.
The three-day conference is a regional Boys & Girls Clubs of America training seminar at which Trevor will talk about his international work with children and teens. Trevor will also discuss the Trevor Romain Foundation’s recent release of the With You All the Way! deployment kit designed to support families with children who have a family member deployed with the U.S. Military.
The deployment kits were designed to address the special needs of children who have a deployed family member. The kit features kid-friendly postcards that can be mailed to a deployed enlisted person, an interactive journal with activities and writing prompts, a set of keepsake dog-tags, a stuffed animal named Cuzzie™, and the DVD, With You All the Way! Dealing With Deployment – an animated movie that provides children with information and advice during a family member’s predeployment, deployment, and reintegration.

Trevor Romain Gives Emotional Speech to Wisconsin Counselors, Educators
Stevens Point, Wisconsin — Author, illustrator and child advocate Trevor Romain talked to a group of over 2,000 counselors and educators about his work with children at the annual Wisconsin School Counselor Association Conference on February 26th.
“His speech was outstanding and it touched many hearts,” said conference coordinator John Bowen. “We admire what he’s done for kids.”
In the talk, Trevor shared stories from his new book, “The Art of Caring,” about his humanitarian work with children in the Congo and with terminally-ill children in the United States. He thanked the counselors and educators for their work and asked them to continue to give their students hope, especially in their times of adversity.
After the talk, Trevor signed copies of his new book, “The Art of Caring,” which documents the author’s travels as a child advocate for the United Nations, the USO and other humanitarian organizations.
